CCCOnline - Steps to Employment
From CCCS Faculty Wiki
Overview
Interested in teaching at CCCOnline? Here is what you need to know.
- CCCOnline currently gives preference to Colorado residents for faculty positions.
- CCCOnline only accepts applications from instructors who teach courses currently offered by CCCOnline. (Check course offerings at: http://www.ccconline.org/courses/Calendar_and_Schedule/Annual_Course_Listing/).
- Because of the time-sensitive nature of application materials, CCConline only accepts applications in discipline areas in which there are current openings. Refer to the Current Openings page for this information. Please do not submit application materials if the discipline in which you wish to teach is not listed here.
- All CCCOnline faculty are hired on adjunct (part-time) contracts, and the duration of the contract is one term only. If your teaching meets the Faculty Gold, and the course you teach is offered the following semester, then there is a good chance you will be rehired. However, since hiring is based on enrollment, there is no guarantee of continuing employment. The ultimate decisions for hiring and scheduling are made by the program chairs.
- All faculty hiring decisions are subject to the results of a background check.
- Faculty applying to teach academic courses must have a Masters degree (preferred) in their content area, or a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the subject.
- Faculty applying to teach in the Early Childhood discipline must have 18 graduate hours or a master's degree specifically in ECE.
- Faculty teaching career and technical courses in the areas listed below must have a current vocational credential issued from http://www.coloradostateplan.com/default_cred.htm. Applicants with a Masters degree as well as the vocational credential are preferred.
